Poetry — too many thoughts to put words to, everything swirls together in a column of smoke

this is not a poem

trying to put words to my feelings
is exhausting right now
like baking bread when your arms are broken
or gardening when your shovels are split
my heart is untethered
so my words are scattered
to corral them together
would take everything i have right now
which isn’t much
but it is enough…
